For a week at least, anyway. I'm off to the Greek Islands tomorrow afternoon so I have to make sure I finish packing tonight.
Excited to visit Athens and all the other places, even though everything ancient over there is in ruins now. How cool would it be to have seen the temples and the Parthenon in their full glory, way back when? That's okay, though, I'll stick with the 21st century for now, even with all its faults.
So yeah, I'm looking forward to Greece. Even though it'll just be me and my parents, and who knows how that'll turn out? Hopefully we'll all get along. :)
It's gonna be hot, though. And apparently "strenuous walking" may be involved. I don't think either my parents or I are strenuous walkers. I think I'm more like a strenuous, marathon sitter...
Hope to see you all when I get back, and have a GREAT week!
I'm looking at this bunch of particularly badly-spelled cheques (they're not for me. Heh.)...We've got a "one thousent", a "thre hundred & fifty", "thre thousent two hundrend", and my very personal favorite, "aghte hundred ninty fore" (*eye twitch*). Hmm. well, me being the geek that I am, I just had to share that. Back to work!
...Oh wait, there's another one I have to mention: the cheque is for $134.19, but written out it says, "one hundred nitin". I'm just surprised the cheque was even accepted at the bank...
I think the more appropriate title for the episode would have been "Closure? What's Closure?"
Man, that sucked. How disappointing.
(This is the Short Version of what I could say about this. If you really want to hear more...well, then ask. Don't blame me if I yammer on too long for your liking, though I barely even want to talk about it. :P)
Well then. Perhaps parents actually can surprise you every once in a while.
I told them all the marks I got this year in my courses, including one that was particularly lower than the kind of marks I've generally gotten in the past, and they didn't completely flip out and start asking questions-that-have-no-answers (like "Do you think you did your best?" Say yes, and the reply will be "Oh, well you shouldn't think that -- you can always do better". Say no, and you'll get "Well, why didn't you try harder, then?") or anything like that. Hmm. All right, who took my parents, where are they, and who are these strange people you've replaced them with?
Not that I'm complaining. If I can avoid the aforementioned non-answerable questions, then by all means, I'll keep the strange imposters for now.
All right, lunch break's almost over... Ta for now.
I don't log in to Blogger for a few days (I last logged in on the 8th), I come back, and everything looks completely different. I'm not sure I like the new setup yet, but hey, I guess I'll get used to it. Eventually. Not right now, though. Right now, it kinda sucks.
Okay, so anyway, before I came on and was surprised at the aesthetic changes at Blogger, my purpose was just to post and say ...um... sorry for not posting. Been busy with work and/or too tired to feel like turning on my blasted computer and/or busy with family (my cousin's birthday was on Friday, her family's in town this week, and it was Mother's Day on Sunday).
Bah. So anyway, question -- which of these two courses sounds like it'd be more interesting/fun/whatever? "Mathematics of Investment and Credit" (which is an Actuarial Science course) or "The Sun and Its Neighbours" (which is an Astronomy course)? Keep in mind that this is just for my Science requirement, so I'd rather it not be extremely hard (esp. in terms of the workload...but I guess that can't necessarily be avoided).
Anyway (good grief, I really use that word too much when I write, don't I?), writing this in a jiffy 'cause I am tireder than usual (in my universe, 'tireder' is a word, okay?) today. I reckon it's because of it being Monday and all. As someone in a song once said, "I don't like Mondays". Not the most profound quote in the world, perhaps, but it's late (well, not on my normal internal clock, but that's what work does to a person, I suppose). That said, good morning / afternoon / evening / night to you all, wherever and whenever you may be. :)
...I knew it wasn't such a good idea to go to the HMV sale 2 days in a row... Though on the plus side, I do have more of my favorites on DVD now. And it's probably a good thing that I never made it into the BestBuy this weekend, eh?
Do I happen to have an mp3 of a song that you want? Check my list here and see if there's anything you need. Send me your e-mail address and state the song you want and I'll send the mp3 to you using YouSendIt.com, SendThisFile.com or SendSpace. :)
Music I need
There are the mp3s I'm looking for. If you have any of these and wouldn't mind sharing it with me, please use YouSendIt.com, SendThisFile.com or SendSpace to send it to me at verbatim119[at]gmail.com. Thanks much! :D
